Empathy from the Margins: Observing Beta Israel (Ethiopian Jews) Events in a Reform Jewish Congregation

The socialization of the Ethiopian Jewish community, known as Beta Israel in Israeli society, is marked by performing cultural customs and rituals to establish its unique tradition collective ethnic narrative. Sigd a holiday that celebrated on 29th Hebrew month Heshvan, when community marks devotion Zion renewing covenant between people, God, Torah. This narrative return homeland also expressed framed tragic context observing Memorial Day for members who perished during their journey from Sudan.
